    I teamed up with Profusion to create the corporate identity, brochures and presentations as well as User Interface design for web and mobile for their Data Academy. They are a new educational extension providing training in data science and artificial intelligence for C-suite leaders and IT professionals.

    The Data Academy enables data-first organisations by providing business leaders with the training and recruitment support they need to grow their own talent and use data effectively. It also aims to train the next generation of data specialists with a strong focus on underrepresented groups to diversify the industry.

the beginning

case study

I developed a logo route consisting of a logotype and separate logo mark. The overall theme needed to be a subordinate to the main Profusion branding. I used the existing colour profile to create a style as close as possible to the main company branding.

I shifted the primary strong blue to a more subtle one and chose a web-friendly Sans Serif as a main typeface using different weights for heading and text body. I created overlays for the presentations, iconography stylisation & collected the photography imagery base.

Once the branding style was set I developed presentations and brochures for digital and print usage. After this I developed several design routes for UI for web and mobile.

exploration

Initial logo routes - the main inspiration comes from educational facilities such as universities. The shape of the logo mark represents the coat of arms.

Preferred route

The client chose a minimal stylisation out of all logo options. Separate use of the logo mark on web presentations & print brochures was fondly encouraged. During the final refinements of the route I also introduced italicised options before picking the final option.

Brochure stylisation

I created a consistent style for PowerPoint online presentations + templates as well as informative brochures for print & marketing purposes.

user interface

The company needed a webpage for their clients to keep track on their Data studies & questionnaires. I solved the problem by creating a simple, stylish and efficient website. I adapted it for both desktop and mobile. The wireframes are created to match the whole branding identity and presentation templates and thus unifying the company’s corporate style to be easily recognisable and quick to navigate within.
